Launch a new collaborative project, Asian Canadians on Vancouver Island: Race, Indigeneity and the Transpacific Objectives
The Cowichan Valley Museum & Archives and the University of Victoria launch a partnership project highlighting the stories of Asian Canadian communities in the Cowichan Valley on July 29, 2015. This project, also involving Lake Cowichan’s Kaatza Station Museum, is a new community-based initiative in archival research which aims to document the history of Asian Canadians here and create access to their stories. The launch takes place at 2:00 p.m. at the Cowichan Valley Museum in Duncan, BC. Please join us to learn more about this project and to meet Prof. Price and the graduate students, interns, local museum/archives staff, and members of the communities involved in the research.
