Alexander Pekic is a MA candidate in the Immigration and Settlement Studies program at Ryerson University. His current research focuses on the theoretical evolution of Toronto’s Sanctuary City policy. He is a researcher with the Landscapes of Injustice project’s Oral History Cluster as well as the Ryerson Centre for Immigration and Settlement. He holds a BA and MA from the University of Toronto. He has previously worked at the Centre for Development and Human Rights in New Delhi (India), Academic Stand Against Poverty, Elections Ontario, Statistics Canada and has done radio work at CIUT 89.5 FM in Toronto.
